Saying goodbye

Debbie, Kara and Melanie came down to the MTC to take us out for my birthday on the 7th. We had a wonderful time. They are great kids (oops! adults) - they really are going to have to understand that they're my kids even though they're all grown up. Anyway, it was great - until we had to say goodbye - again. That's so hard.Today, Bill and I had to go buy English pounds and the only bank that carried them was right down on Center and University. So we took the shuttle down and walked half way back. We looked at all the places we lived in and the old Clark Clinic. I used to work there for years while attending BYU 40 years ago. The Clinic was empty but still standing. Looks like they're fixing it up to do something with it. We saw the last house we lived in before we moved to Michigan when Bill graduated. The sidewalk that Debbie learned to walk on. And the tree where we had a sand box that Debbie used to eat the sand. It was almost exactly the same. The place in front where we had a pool for Susan and Debbie. We had so much fun walking (literally) down memory lane. We had Susan and Debbie in Utah and I was pregnant with Bill when we left - he was born in Michigan, so was Beth. Kara and Melanie were born in Idaho. We had a good time looking around.

So, this is it for our amazing experiences at the Mission Training Center. We will leave here at 6:00 a.m. on Monday. Our flight takes off from Salt Lake City at 9:50 a.m. We have a layover of two hours in Atlanta, Georgia and then the last leg leaves from Atlanta at 5 in the evening - we get in to London 7:00 a.m. their time - 12:00 midnight our time. If we don't sleep on the plane, we're not going to be bright eyed when we meet our Mission President. But, I think he'll understand. Our Mission President is President Charles Lowry from Belfast Northern Ireland.

I will write again when we get set up in London - it's going to take a week probably. We'll have to get unpacked, buy food, be set apart as ordinance workers in the London Temple and just get adjusted and settled in, oh, and figure out their internet system.
